Our Mission
Increasing the Capacity of People to Care for One Another
United Way of Marshall County's mission is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another in a voluntary, community-wide effort. This is accomplished through expanding volunteerism, fundraising programs, as well as planning, supporting, providing, and monitoring services sensitive to the current and emerging needs of the people of Marshall County.
We are committed to utilizing contributions strategically and responsibly, investing in local programs and initiatives with the overarching objective of empowering individuals to lead their best lives.

Our History
The United Way movement traces its roots back to 1887, when religious leaders in Denver founded the first united campaign for health and welfare agencies. United Way of Marshall County continues this legacy of service right here in Marshall County, Alabama.
